Stamfag
was established outside Zurich Switzerland back in 1883. Originally Stamfag
specialized in producing dies for the shoe industry. But by the turn of
the century it had become evident that Stamfag's niche was in manufacturing
dies for cutting paper labels, building on a reputation for accuracy and
performance.
A feature of our
Stamfag cutting dies is the ability to replace or upgrade the crown portion
of the die. This ability insures our customers can increase the production
requirements of the die at a cost savings of up to 30% of the original
cost.
Dies are produced
on an average of 7 - 10 working days after receipt of the die lines or
e-files. The die line is then entered into the computer through a CAD/CAM
program. At this point one of four wire electronic discharge machine's(EDM)
will cut the die shape from the steel or carbide stock, insuring the most
accurate tolerances.
Since 1988 our
Bolton Landing, NY office and tool room has supported our customers
throughout
North America. This full service facility sharpens and repairs high
dies from any manufacturer with 24 hours, with most shipping the
same
day.
